Mittens & Jamjam
I want to introduce you to our new fur babies! Little’un chose their names… Mittens (with the white paws) is a boy and Jamjam is a girl.
I forgot what rascals kittens can be! I've had to move all our plants to where they can't be nibbled and they're destroying our furniture and curtains.
Mittens (aka Shittens/Mitt-moo) had some toileting issues initially… and Jamjam (aka Jamz/Jammy-cat) did a wee in my knitting basket when it was so windy she didn't want to go outside…it's a good job they're cute.
They joined our little family last summer at ten weeks old and they're now nearly a year old. I think they're pretty much fully grown.
Mittens has always been bigger and was an impressive 5.5kg when I last took him to the vets. I think he's closer to 6kg now.
They both enjoy a bit of lap time and they love curling up together and grooming each other.
Jamjam is more of a hunter, but Mittens is dominant and steals whatever she brings home. I think they're over the initial excitement of going outside and thankfully haven't brought us any presents for a while.
They both love Noodle's old bed which I made at a basket weaving class many moons ago. Mittens is a bit big for it now so I need to make/buy a huge one!
And I'm also happy to say that they're very tolerant of little'un and enjoy sharing a nap!
