Made Four (and a half) 2022

My Make Nine 2022 got off to a pretty good start… but then didn’t change much from July onwards. I decided to make another toy (Elspeth the Elephant) for Little’un rather than a jumper because they’re growing so quickly!

So here are the results…

I finished my Lull cardie, Steve the Duck, A hand-sewn face mask and some dishcloths. I also finished knitting my Isla jumper dress (top right), but haven’t sewn it up or blocked it yet. It was packed up for the house move so I’m not even sure where it is now! I’m looking forward to finding it and sewing it up in time for winter.

I haven’t done a make-nine plan for 2023 because I knew it would be even less realistic than usual with the house move/renovation! But I do have a couple of things on the needles and some plans. I’ve started knitting the Stockholm Sweater by Petite Knit. It’s a lovely simple shape and a nice fluffy combo of lace weight and mohair - I’m using Rowan Fine Lace and Kidsilk Haze (in teal of course).

I’m also working on a new design which I’m hoping to launch by the end of the year… but I’m taking my time with it! I’ll give you a sneak peek before it launches.

And of course I can’t break the new tradition of making a Pica Pau toy for Littl’un every christmas so I need to choose which to do next! These are my faves…

Which is your favourite?
