Isla Jumper Dress

This jumper dress has been a looong time in the making! It had a long period of hibernation after the front section, then after the back section… and again after the sleeves before sewing up.

I got motivated to finish it because I was planning to enter it in the knit/crochet competition at our local village show. I didn't in quite get it done in time and it was too ridiculously hot to go to the show… but at least it prompted me to finish it.

I love the fact that the fair-isle is fancier on the back and I really like the fit. Perfect for wearing with leggings to stomp around fields!

The pattern is Isla by Emma Wright from her book KIY. I used Rowan Felted Tweed and knitted a larger size with a tighter tension. It’s a super simple shape so it was easy to add length to make it a jumper dress.

I’m ready for some dry cold autumn days now! Thanks for taking pics Rosie x
